Salt Lake City police said Saturday they have identified a person involved in a fatal shooting that happened near 900 South Edison Street on Dec. 11.

Homicide detectives learned the name of the individual during their investigation and are working with the District Attorney’s Office on the case, police said in a news release. Since the investigation is ongoing, the name of the person hasn’t been released.

No criminal charges have been filed, reported the police, and the individual is cooperating with the investigation.

On Dec. 11, Adalid Serrano-Robles, 22, died in a shooting in Salt Lake City at about 1:30 a.m., according to police. The preliminary investigation showed the shooting happened after an isolated fight between a group of people, police said in an earlier news release.

Officers responded to a call informing them that shots were heard in the area. When officers arrived at the scene, they found community members performing CPR on Serrano-Robles on the ground.

Officers then assisted the victim and rendered additional first aid. Despite the efforts, the victim died at the scene.
