Zion closes Emerald Pools trails for search-and-rescue effort

Access to the Emerald Pools at Zion National Park has been closed as officials conduct a search-and-rescue effort.

Trails to the Middle and Upper Emerald Pools were closed Sunday morning.

Officials gave no details on who or what they were searching for.

This year has been the busiest in recorded history for search-and-rescue crews in Zion.
