West Valley City police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Monday morning.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots near 3800 South and 4200 West shortly after 7 a.m., police said. Arriving officers found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead on the ground in front of a house in the area.
The man’s name was not immediately released. It’s unclear if he was a resident of the home.
