Power outage affected 22,000 in Cottonwood Heights and Holladay

All but 91 had electricity restored by 5 p.m. after a high-voltage line went down near Wheeler Farm

More than 22,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers in the Cottonwood Heights and Holladay areas were left without power for a couple of hours Sunday after a high-voltage line went down near Wheeler Farm.

All but 91 had their power restored by 5 p.m. The remaining customers were expected to have power by 8 p.m., a spokesperson for Rocky Mountain Power said.

The outage near 6300 South and 900 East affected eight circuits and 22,455 customers.

The utility company is investigating what caused the line to go down.
