The wreck is being investigated as a “possible impaired driver crash,” police said. The driver, who has not been identified, is cooperating with investigators.
The children, whose names and ages were not released, were struck shortly before 8 a.m. in the area of 1040 W. 400 South, according to Salt Lake City police.
Before impact, the driver of the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling east on 400 South as the children were crossing north on Goshen Street.
