Three people who died in a plane crash in Davis County identified

The aircraft took off from Woods Cross airport.

Three people were killed when a small plane crashed in Davis County on Sunday evening.

On Tuesday, officials from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office identified the pilot as 28-year-old J. Parker Christensen from Ogden. Tyson Peterson and his wife Kallie Edwards, both 24 and from Logan, were the other two passengers in the plane.

The single-engine Cessna went down in the mountains east of Bountiful, according to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office. The plane took off from Skypark Airport in Woods Cross at 6:42 p.m., according to flight logs, and crashed a short time later. The wreckage was located by a Department of Public Safety helicopter at about 11 p.m.

The crash is under investigation.
