South Salt Lake Police looking for possible kidnap victim

Police believe Shylene “Shy” White Mortensen was taken against her will on Thursday.

(Courtesy of South Salt Lake Police) ShyLene "Shy" Mortensen has been missing since Thursday, June 3, and police believe she was kidnapped. She was last seen at a 7-Eleven at 287 W. 3300 South in South Salt Lake at around 9 p.m. Thursday.

South Salt Lake Police are searching for a woman they believe was kidnapped by another woman.

Shylene “Shy” White Mortensen, who police say is 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds, with blue eyes, was last seen Thursday at 287 W. 3300 South. Police say they think a female acquaintance of Mortensen took her against her will in a gold Ford Explorer. They are looking for the vehicle, which has a Utah license plate, number U68 8JG.

Police said they are looking for Kayla Alanna Hauck as a person of interest in the case. Hauck is 5-foot-8 and 120 pounds, with long, dark hair, according to the police.
