Missing Farmington woman found
She left home Wednesday morning with her two dogs.
(Farmington Police Department) Laura Waldron was found safe Thursday.
A missing Farmington woman and her dogs were found unharmed on Thursday afternoon, 31 hours after she was last seen.
Search and rescue teams located Laura Waldron, 54, on Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. in thick brush near the top of Hornet Creek, according to police. Authorities used a helicopter to hoist her to safety.
Waldron had last been seen about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, and she was considered endangered because she suffers from dementia. She was taken to a hospital to be checked out, police said, but she suffered no injuries.
The dogs — a black lab and red heeler — were walked down the trail by volunteers.
“So grateful Laura was found,” the Davis County Sheriff’s Office tweeted. “Huge thanks to everyone who assisted in the search.”
