Almost 700,000 Utahns have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus — more than 20% of the state’s total population.
The Utah Department of Health reported Tuesday that another 30,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the past day, and two more had Utahns died of the coronavirus.
Vaccine doses administered in past day/total doses administered • 30,001 / 1,738,003.
Utahns fully vaccinated • 699,517.
Cases reported in past day • 358.
Deaths reported in past day • Two: a woman between the ages of 65 and 84 in Carbon County, and a woman 45-64 in Salt Lake County.
Tests reported in past day • 5,683 people were tested for the first time. A total of 15,222 people were tested.
Hospitalizations reported in past day • 124. That’s up two from Monday. Of those currently hospitalized, 59 are in intensive care units — two fewer than on Monday.
Percentage of positive tests • Under the state’s original method, the rate is 6.3%. That’s lower than the seven-day average of 7.7%.
The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests of the same individual. Tuesday’s rate was 2.4%, lower than the seven-day average of 3.8%.

Totals to date • 390,647 cases; 2,161 deaths; 15,804 hospitalizations; 2,455,549 people tested.
