Teenage snowboarder dies at Park City Mountain Resort

An 18-year-old snowboarder was killed at the Park City Mountain Resort on Tuesday when he hit a tree.
The teenager from Lexington, Kentucky, was snowboarding on a beginner slope at about 3 p.m. when he went off the trail and hit the tree, according to Park City police, who did not release the victim’s name. The ski patrol responded and the teenager was transported by helicopter to a hospital, but he died of his injuries.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said.
