Springville High teacher resigns amid investigation of allegations of misconduct

He had been placed on leave by the Nebo School District.

A Springville High School teacher resigned shortly after being placed on leave amid allegations of inappropriate conduct.

“The Nebo teacher in question has resigned from their position and is no longer employed with Nebo School District,” said district spokeswoman Lana Hiskey in an email.

Students staged a walk-out on Monday calling on the school district to take the allegations against the teacher seriously. The district said that rumors about the teacher had been circulating on social media but no formal complaints were received until Monday.

The district confirmed Tuesday that he had been placed on leave and was under investigation. Springville police have confirmed that they are also investigating the teacher.
