Sandy firefighters found the body of a woman inside a home heavily damaged by fire on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Sandy City Fire Department, crews arrived at the home at 11200 S. Tall Pines Way about 4 p.m. to find smoke and flames coming from the second floor. Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 20 minutes, and found the victim inside the house on a bed. Her name has not been released.
The cause of the fire, which left the house uninhabitable, is under investigation. According to the Sandy City Fire Department, no one else was injured.
