Murray residents are being warned to be on the lookout for mountain lions.

The Division of Wildlife Resources was notified, but the animal was not located.

Murray police are advising residents to bring their children inside before dusk; keep pets indoors at night; and not to approach any mountain lions they might see.

Anyone who sees a cougar is asked to call the DWR (during regular, weekday business hours) at 801-491-5678 or 801-538-4700. After-hours and weekends, call the Murray Police Department at 801-840-4000. In case of an emergency, call 911.
