‘Utah Booze News’ podcast: Petition to change liquor laws

Utah bar and restaurant owners say state liquor laws are hurting their ability to make a profit, and the issues have become more pronounced during the pandemic

Last week, they launched the #SaveUtahBars petition at change.org urging Gov. Gary Herbert and the Legislature to make six changes.

On the latest episode of “Utah Booze News: An Alcohol Policy Podcast,” Katy Willis and Michael Eccleston, co-owners of Salt Lake City’s Quarter Arcade Bar, talk about the Twitter post that helped spark the movement and the improvements they want to see — including sealed cocktails to go.
