Juab County fire forces evacuations, burns home

A wildfire in Juab County is now under control after forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate.
The Mammoth Fire started shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday when crews estimated it was about 5 acres. It is not clear how much larger it grew, but firefighters say it later burned one home.
Those whose residences were not impacted were allowed back in about two hours later.
According to Utah Fire Info, the blaze was just south of Eureka. That’s about 15 miles southwest of Utah Lake, and about a 70-mile drive south from Salt Lake City.
They expected the fire would be fully contained by late Wednesday.
