Suspects in shooting death of Utah teen arrested in Wyoming

Two suspects in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Utah boy have been arrested in Wyoming.

According to West Valley City police, a 22-year-old man from Taylorsville and a 25-year-old man from West Valley City were taken into custody in Evanston on Tuesday with the assistance of Evanston police. They are suspects in the shooting death of Edwin B. Reyes, who was killed on Sunday night in Peachwood Park at 3525 W. 3965 South.

West Valley police tweeted that, when they were arrested, “both suspects possessed evidence linked to this case,” and that the two will be extradited back to Utah.

Because Reyes was related to a West Valley police officer, West Jordan police have taken over the investigation of his killing.
