‘Trib Talk’ Town Hall: A conversation about solutions to racial discrimination in Utah

We’ve discussed racism in Utah and police reform. Now, we’re talking about solutions.

Rep. Sandra Hollins, Sen. Luz Escamilla, Jeanetta Williams of the NAACP Salt Lake Branch and Shawn Newell from the Utah State Board of Education joined Tribune Executive Editor Jennifer Napier-Pearce for a candid discussion about policy proposals aimed at reducing racial discrimination and police violence in Utah.

You can watch the discussion on Facebook and Youtube and listen to the audio on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher and Soundcloud.

This conversation is the last in a three-part town hall series. You can watch The Tribune’s first discussion about racism in Utah here. You can watch the second part of the series, which explored what police reform in Utah should look like, here.

“Trib Talk” is produced by Jeni Fitzgibbon and Sara Weber.
