Driver hits 14-year-old girl in Utah crosswalk and leaves without stopping

Police are looking for a driver who struck and seriously injured a 14-year-old girl who was crossing a street this week in West Valley City.

The girl was walking in a crosswalk at 4:30 p.m. Monday at 3800 S. Constitution Blvd. when she was hit by a car that did not stop, West Valley City police wrote in a statement on social media.

The car was white and was driven by a white man, police wrote. “Multiple vehicles were stopped at the intersection where it happened and likely saw it occur,” police wrote.
