Police identify body found in Garfield County

Police have identified the man found dead outside Escalante last weekend, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephen St. John’s body was discovered Saturday by Garfield County Search and Rescue and the Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue Dogs teams near Egypt Road. Crews located his truck nearby.
No additional details were available. The sheriff’s office said it was waiting to receive a toxicology report.
Egypt Road is in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
