Drinking booze from skis is the latest contest between Park City and Breckenridge

Park City • Utah’s latest city-to-city rivalry has taken a new turn, as Park City successfully broke a record set in January by the Colorado resort community of Breckenridge for the world’s longest ski shot.

Hosted by Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery, the Park City Shot Ski held Saturday on Main Street reportedly met its goal of serving 1,310 rye whiskey shot-takers at once, shattering Breckenridge’s record of 1,299 imbibers simultaneously hoisting shot glasses on 450 skis.

This year’s event also aimed to raise $40,000 for groups devoted to humanitarian and charitable causes.
