A Utah nanny who was caught on camera kicking, hitting and shaking 5-month-old twins will spend 30 days in jail.

McKenna Newell, 21, was arrested in January after the twins’ father gave police video of her abusing the infants, including covering their noses and mouths with her hand.

Newell was convicted of third-degree felony child abuse in 3rd District Court. In addition to the jail time, she was placed on probation for three years, and ordered to complete an anger-management course and perform 500 hours of community service. She must register with the Utah Child Abuse Registry and pay restitution in an amount still to be determined, and she must not have any contact with the twins’ family or work with anyone under the age of 18 while on probation.

A prison sentence of up to five years and a $5,000 fine were suspended.
