Weather: Hump Day will be monsoon day in Utah

The summer will stay hot Tuesday, but will cool off Wednesday and be dampened by rain.

Salt Lake City is expected to reach 101 degrees on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. St. George will be only slightly warmer at 103 degrees.

Changes arrive Wednesday. In Salt Lake City, high temperatures will be in the mid-80s with wind and a chance of rain during the day. Rain is more certain in the evening and overnight, according to the weather service. The rest of the week and weekend is supposed to be dry with temperatures in the low- and mid-90s.

Southern Utah is expected to undergo similar weather, albeit with a slightly lower chance of rain and temperatures a few degrees higher. For more weather forecasting, go to www.sltrib.com/weather.
