The Ogden Arts Festival returned to the historic Union Station located in the heart of downtown. On June 8 and 9, The Ogden Arts Festival returned to the historic Union Station, located in the heart of downtown, bringing with it local and regional artists, creatives and entertainers. Managed by Nurture the Creative Mind and held as a fundraiser for the organization, the event was complete with artist booths, music, theater, kids activities, an urban arts area, skateboarding games and artisan food vendors.

Artists like Jackie Nipper of Nipper Metal Art entertained questions about the life-sized horse she welded together with her husband, Charles, using numerous gears. “We lost count how many gears we assembled, but the iron diet has led to a weight of over 2000 pounds," she said about the piece they call “Horsepower.” Meanwhile nearby, old records took on a new life at Spin Art, where a former pottery wheel table was converted to be powered by bicycle as kids applied paint to spinning vinyl.

Established in 2004, the two-day festival kicks off summer activities in Ogden.
