Utah man found dead after jumping off waterfall at Gunlock State Park

A search crew on Saturday found the body of a man who went missing Friday after he jumped off a waterfall into the water at Gunlock State Park and never resurfaced.

Brandon Gary Johnson, 36, of Logan, jumped off the cliff Friday afternoon. His body was found in the water Saturday morning, according to a news release.

Johnson, who’d been working as a foreman in Washington County, likely died from the impact, the release states. Authorities are still investigating to confirm his cause of death.

Gunlock State Park is in Washington County, approximately 14 miles northwest of St. George.
