Military called out to investigate a reported WWII-era bomb in Salt Lake City house

A Salt Lake City woman cleaning out her garage Saturday called police when she thought she found a WWII-era bomb.

Salt Lake City police ended up calling in the military to check out the device, which they later determined was only a practice round and was inert, FOX 13 reports.

Police told FOX 13 the woman’s husband served in WWII and had brought home other items, like old shells, but she thought this device looked dangerous so she called 911 for help.
