Heavy snowfall, rain forecast for parts of Utah

Forecasters have issued a winter storm warning and other advisories about snow and rain expected to fall on parts of Utah into Thursday night and Friday morning.

A winter storm warning issued Wednesday by the National Weather Service says heavy snow with accumulations ranging from 8 inches to 18 inches is expected in the Wasatch and Uintah mountains.

Total snow accumulations of up to 4 inches in areas that include the cities of Logan and Brigham City.
