Hundreds gathered at Barker Park in North Ogden to remember Brent Taylor, who was mayor of the city for four years and killed in Afghanistan last week while serving as a major in the National Guard.
Taylor, 39, was killed last Saturday while training an Afghan Army commando battalion near Kabul. Taylor was deployed to Afghanistan in January on what was his second tour there and fourth deployment of his 10-year military career.
