(BIA Fort Duchesne Police Department) The BIA Fort Duchesne Police Department and FBI were searching Sunday, May 6, 2018, for Brad James Moore, who is a suspect in a shooting near Fort Duchesne.

The FBI says a suspect in a shooting near Fort Duchesne was arrested early Thursday, about 11 days after the search for him began.

A U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension team surrounded Bradley James Moore at a home in Vernal, according to a news release from the FBI’s Salt Lake City Field Office. Moore barricaded himself for 90 minutes before surrendering, the news release said. He was booked into the Uinta County jail on a what the FBI said was an unrelated warrant.

The FBI has said on May 6, a 22-year-old man was shot inside a home and was flown to a hospital in critical condition. He has since been released.

After the shooting, Moore allegedly ran away from the scene, and evaded Bureau of Indian Affairs police.
