Steak is great, but Mitt Romney would prefer a hot dog.

The Russell Westbrook-taunting, "little meatloaf cakes”-loving U.S. Senate candidate was quoted by the Washington Examiner as saying, “My favorite meat is hot dog” during a casual campaign dinner.

(The former Massachusetts governor and presidential candidate did not appear to give his official position on whether hot dogs are or are not sandwiches.)

“My favorite meat is hot dog, by the way. That is my favorite meat,” he reportedly said. “My second favorite meat is hamburger. And, everyone says, Oh don’t you prefer steak? It’s like, I know steaks are great, but I like hot dog best, and I like hamburger best.”

Twitter pounced.
