Hogle Zoo welcomes two red pandas

Hogle Zoo has a couple of new faces.

After an eight-year hiatus, red pandas are back at the Salt Lake City wildlife park. A 4-year-old male and a 7-year-old female from Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Ariz., made their public debut this week after acclimating to their new home. The red pandas have not received their Utah names.

Red pandas are an endangered species native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China.
