Cache County middle school teacher charged with enticing a minor

Parents of a South Cache Middle School student found evidence of an inappropriate relationship between their teenager and a teacher at the Hyrum school.

Duane Behrmann, 51, was charged in 1st District Court on Thursday. He faces two counts of third-degree-felony enticing a minor, two counts of second-degree-felony enticing a minor, and class A misdemeanor obstructing justice.

Behrmann was arrested Wednesday after the student’s parents reported what they found to police, according to Cache County sheriff’s Lt. Brian Locke.

Officials believe there is one victim in this case, which is under investigation.
