Family members of a 24-year-old woman are offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps them locate her, police announced this week.
Jerika Alvey Binks was last seen a few minutes before 9 a.m. Feb. 18 at a residential treatment center for women recovering from substance abuse, near 300 North and 1100 East just outside the border of American Fork in Utah County.
Binks told her roommates she was going for a run, and police believe she left the house between 9 and 11 a.m., according to a news release from the Utah County sheriff’s office.
Except for her cellphone, the woman left all her personal belongings — including her ID and wallet — in her room, police say. There has been no activity from her phone or bank account since that time, police said. It is unknown whether she left in a car or on foot, or where she was headed.
Binks is described as a white woman with brown hair and brown eyes who stands about 5-foot-4 and weighs about 120 pounds. Police say foul play has not been ruled out.
Family members, volunteers and police have held several searches to try to find Binks, but have not been successful. The family partnered with Fast Gas Convenience Stores to offer the cash reward.
Anyone with information about Binks’ whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Pratt with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at 801-851-4013 or Utah Valley Dispatch at 801-794-3970.
