FBI offers 10K reward for information on whereabouts of suspected drug trafficker with Utah ties

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man with Utah ties who is suspected of drug trafficking.

The man, Noel Romero Herrera, is wanted for his alleged involvement in a drug organization that operated in Montana from approximately 2007 to approximately September 2010.

Authorities have been looking for Herrera for years. A warrant for his arrest was issued Feb. 17, 2011, in Montana on federal charges of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and distribution of cocaine and aiding and abetting.

The 35-year-old — who also is known as “Joker” — has previously lived in Murray, Midvale, Sandy and Salt Lake City, according to the FBI.

Herrera is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, 190 to 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his head, back, chest, left arm, neck and right arm, and skin discoloration on his neck.

Herrera is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 801-579-1400.
