Although it wasn’t the actual North Pole, the Delta hangar at the Salt Lake City International Airport felt just as magical for patients from the Primary Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children who took a short “flight” Saturday to Santa’s Winter Wonderland.
The event brought a little holiday cheer for about 50 children, who boarded a Boeing 737 that then taxied to hangar where they and their families visited with Santa and received gifts. The Santa Express, as it’s called, also featured crafts and other festivities with Santa’s elves, sports team mascots, cheerleaders and the Coca-Cola Bear.
