Where to dine with your Valentine in Salt Lake County or Park City

On Valentine’s Day, do you want to splurge on steak? Or is your wallet happy with a heart-shaped pizza?

No matter your budget, restaurants in Salt Lake County and Park City are serving something to help you and your sweetheart celebrate on Feb. 14.

Make a reservation soon. Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest dining days of the year. In 2020, the romantic holiday falls on a Friday, but diners can expect their favorite eateries to be busy all weekend long. So there’s even more reason to plan ahead.

Salt Lake County

Archibald’s • 1100 W. 7800 South, West Jordan; 801-566-6940 or www.gardnervillage.com. Through Feb. 29, this restaurant at Gardner Village is offering dinner for two for $46.99. Includes appetizer, choice of entree and dessert. Available only for dine-in guests and does not includes tax, tip or beverages.

Bambara • 202 S. Main, Salt Lake City; 801-363-5454 or bambara-slc.com. This downtown restaurant, inside the Hotel Monaco, will offer its regular menu plus several a la carte “aphrodisiac” specials, including Kumamoto oysters, caviar blini, blood orange salad, crab and truffle soup and chocolate desserts. Prices range from $15 to $50.

California Pizza Kitchen • 156 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City, (in The Gateway), 801-456-0075 or www.cpk.com. From Feb. 12-16, get the “Sweet Deal for Two” for $35. Includes one appetizer, two entrees and a dessert to share. Dine-in only.

Current Fish & Oyster • 279 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City; 801-326-3474 or www.currentfishandoyster.com. Three-course dinner includes appetizer, dessert and a choice of entree — swordfish; a short ribs and scallop surf and turf; branzino whole fish; prime rib; roasted cauliflower; or fish stew. Cost is $70 per person.

FatCats • 3739 S. 900 East, Millcreek; 801-262-9890. The Valentine’s Day special includes bowling, arcade games, a medium heart-shaped pizza, with two soft drinks and dessert for $45 per couple. Available from 6 to 9 p.m. Book tickets through Eventbrite.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse • 20 S. 400 West (at The Gateway), Salt Lake City; 801-355-3704 or www.flemingssteakhouse.com. A multicourse Valentine’s Day menu is available Feb. 12-15. All meals include appetizer, salad, dessert and choice of petite filet mignon entree with lobster tail scampi ($90), crab-stuffed colossal shrimp scampi ($80), or pistachio-crusted lamb chops ($75). The multicourse surf and turf for two is $200 and includes a tomahawk steak and lobster tail and crab-stuffed colossal shrimp entree. And for those who really want to splurge, there is the Wine, Dine & Sparkle package — for $500 or $1,000 — which includes a three-course meal for two, Champagne and jewelry for him or her.

Franck’s • 6263 S. Holladay Blvd., Holladay; 801-274-6264 or francksfood.com. Chef Robert Perkins has planned a four-course meal for $90 per person.

Fratelli Ristorante • 9236 S. Village Shop Drive, Sandy; 801-495-4550 or www.fratelliutah.com. Serving a three-course meal for $35. Includes soup or salad, choice of crab cake or petite filet entree and dessert. Regular menu also available.

Hub & Spoke Diner • 1291 S. 1100 East, Salt Lake City; 801-478-0698 or www.hubandspokediner.com. Will be serving regular menu plus food and dessert specials, including steak and frites and crab cakes.

Log Haven • 6451 E. Millcreek Canyon Road; 801-272-8255 or www.log-haven.com. The restaurant will have its regular menu, plus special entrees and cocktails, as part of its “Four Nights of Passion” celebration Feb. 13-16.

Melting Pot • 340 S. Main, Salt Lake City, 801-521-6358 or www.meltingpot.com. On Feb. 14 and 15, guests can get a five-course meal for $69.95 per person. Includes shrimp cocktail, cheese fondue, salad, entree and dessert.

Pago • 878 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City; 801-532-0777 or www.pagoslc.com. Serving a five-course dinner for $95 per person. Includes starter, oysters, pasta appetizer, choice of lamb, bison short ribs, fish stew or vegetarian entree and a dessert sampling. Wine pairings available for $45 per person.

Prohibition • 151 E. 6100 South, Murray; 801-281-4852 or www.prohibitionutah.com. This 1920s-themed gastropub — for those 21 and older — is serving a four-course meal for two for $80. Available from 6 to 9 p.m. It includes a shared appetizer, soup or salad, choice of entree and shared dessert. Live music from 8 to 9 p.m.

Rodizio Grill • 600 S. 700 East (Trolley Square), Salt Lake City; 801-220-0500 or www.rodiziogrill.com. The “Together Forever” special is available Feb. 14 and 15 and includes the full menu, plus additional grilled items, salad bar and desert for $110 per couple. Guests also will receive a buy-one-get-one coupon for a future visit. Other holiday specials also available.

Saffron Circle • 4594 W. Partridge Hill Lane, No. 140, Riverton; 801-206-4115 or www.saffronvalley.com. Offering a five-course tasting menu for two for $70. Includes an appetizer, the chicken, lamb and paneer grill platter; choice of two curries, sides, bread and panna cotta dessert. Champagne for those 21 and older. Choose between 6 or 8 p.m. time slots.

Four-course dinner is available Feb. 14 and 15 from 5 to 10 p.m. Includes two starters, choice of steak, lobster tail or rigatoni entree and dessert. Cost is $70 per person. Utah Museum of Fine Arts • 410 S. Campus Center Drive, Salt Lake City; 801-581-7332. Enjoy appetizers and drinks (with alcohol or without) while curator Luke Kelly guides you through the collection. Music from the University of Utah Red Hots in the G.W. Anderson Family Great Hall. Cost is $59 per person; $10 discount for members. Attendees must be 21 years old.

Park City

Deer Valley Grocery-Café • 1375 Deer Valley Drive, Park City; 435-615-2400 or www.deervalley.com. Serving regular early-supper menu until 6 p.m. Special is seared Wagyu beef sirloin salad with roasted butternut squash, fresh arugula, feta cheese, sunflower seeds and green goddess dressing for $15.75. Assortment of Valentine’s Day desserts will be available, Feb. 10-14.

Fireside Dining • 9200 Marsac Ave., Park City; 435-645-6632 or www.deervalley.com. This popular winter dinner is served from the four stone fireplaces inside the Empire Canyon Lodge. Includes soups, stews, sides, raclette cheese, fire-roasted meats and fondue desserts. Adults $90, children (6-11) $30.

Hearth and Hill • 1153 Center Drive, Park City; 435-200-8840 or hearth-hill.com. Serving its regular menu plus shareable specials.

Kimball Art Center • The Art of Love event, sponsored by the Kimball Art Center, takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Regis Deer Valley, 2300 Deer Valley Dr. Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner, drinks, art supplies — and expert instruction — needed to make a keepsake. Choose from a fused-glass candle holder, watercolor painting or ink print. Attendees must be 18 or older. Tickets available at kimballartcenter.org.

The Mariposa • 7600 Royal St., No. 305, Park City; 435-645-6632 or www.deervalley.com. This elegant restaurant, located in Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Lodge, will offer a four-course dinner for $90 per person. It includes shrimp starter, choice of black cod or Kurobuta pork entree, and pear dessert.

Powder at Waldorf Astoria • 2100 Frostwood Drive, Park City; 435-647-5566 or www.waldorfastoriaparkcity.com. Serving a three-course meal that includes appetizer, choice of sea bass, lamb loin or New York steak entree, and passion fruit mousse for dessert. Cost is $150 per person; wine pairings available for $55.

Deer Valley Seafood Buffet • 2250 Deer Valley Drive, Suite 303, Park City; 435-645-6632 or www.deervalley.com. The ultimate seafood and sushi experience takes place inside Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge. Cost is $110 per person.
