Bacon-wrapped mushrooms make an earthy treat at Ombu Grill

Dish of the Week • Bacon enoki mushrooms ($19.99).

Many people would say that bacon makes everything better, and Ombu Grill is proving them right. Six bundles of firm, slender enoki mushrooms are wrapped with bacon strips, which diners can cook to perfection on their personal grills. The longer the bacon and mushrooms warm, the more flavor is imparted. Remove the toothpicks once cooked for an earthy, bacon-flavored treat shared around the table.

Ombu Grill • 1438 S. State St., Salt Lake City; 801-484-4888 or utahombugrill.com. Open Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Friday-Sunday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
