Call it a meet-cute.

Lovebound Library, the state’s first romance-only bookstore, is teaming up the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies for a novel partnership.

The Salt Lake City shop is selling discounted tickets for the Jan. 31 matchup between the Grizzlies and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Tickets cost $14-$25.

A link to purchase tickets can be found on the bookstore’s Instagram account, @loveboundlibrary.

Lovebound owner Courtney Stookey said the store hopes to fill section 125 with romance-book lovers, but the discount code applies to seats throughout the Maverik Center in West Valley City.

The subgenre of hockey romance has seen a spike of popularity over the past few years. Toward the end of 2025, the HBO Max adaptation of “Heated Rivalry” by Rachel Reid drew massive attention.

Stookey said since the store announced the partnership on Instagram last Friday, it has sold more than 300 tickets.

“We’re super excited to get a huge group going,” Stookey said. She hopes Lovebound can collaborate with the Utah Mammoth in the future, too.

This is the last season of Grizzlies hockey in Utah before the team moves to Trenton, New Jersey. The team’s final home game will be April 11.
