Post Malone, a Utah fan favorite made a surprise appearance at Thursday night’s SLC Twilight show.

Malone joined headliner Sierra Ferrell, a singer-songwriter who blends multiple genres like roots and bluegrass, toward the end of her set at Library Square.

According to setlist.fm, a website that tracks setlists for tours, the pair performed their song “Never Love You Again” together. Malone turned to the country genre with his latest album, “F-1 Trillion.”

Ferrell also opened for Malone when he kicked off his “Big Ass Stadium Tour” in Utah earlier this summer, where they also performed the track together.

This was the second SLC Twilight show of the season. Ferrell was accompanied by Kaitlin Butts and local artist Sammy Brue. The next SLC Twilight show, featuring Waxahatchee, is Aug. 6.

Ferrell will go on to perform in Oregon on Saturday night and Malone will start his world tour in Romania next month, but return to Utah in October to headline RedWest.
