The inaugural Flower Parade

Here’s something new: Salt Lake City will see its first-ever Flower Parade, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the International Peace Gardens at Jordan Park, 1160 S. Dalton Ave., Salt Lake City. Presented by the International Peace Gardens Committee, the parade is inspired by a similar event in Nice, France. Participants are invited to create a costume or non-motorized float inspired by a fairy tale or its characters, and decorated with flowers (real or fake). The parade is presented in four rounds, starting at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. For details about the parade, go to flowerparadeofslc.com.
