Jason Isbell, twice
Folk-rock musician Jason Isbell and his band, The 400 Unit, are back in Utah for two shows, Monday and Tuesday at Sandy Amphitheater, 1245 E. 9400 South, Sandy. The inaugural Flower Parade
Here’s something new: Salt Lake City will see its first-ever Flower Parade, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the International Peace Gardens at Jordan Park, 1160 S. Dalton Ave., Salt Lake City. Presented by the International Peace Gardens Committee, the parade is inspired by a similar event in Nice, France. Participants are invited to create a costume or non-motorized float inspired by a fairy tale or its characters, and decorated with flowers (real or fake). The parade is presented in four rounds, starting at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. For details about the parade, go to flowerparadeofslc.com.

Jack White performs
Rocker Jack White is in the midst of his “No Name” tour, and arrives in Salt Lake City for a show Saturday at the Union Event Center, 235 N. 500 West, Salt Lake City. White’s former band The White Stripes, known for such classic hits as “Seven Nation Army,” were recently chosen for this year’s class in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
