‘The Friends Experience’ comes to an end; Black Violin and The Man in Black at the Eccles.

Last day for ‘Friends Experience’

It won’t be there for you much longer. Sunday is the last day for The Friends Experience, the walk-through, Instagram-friendly exhibition that re-creates the sets and moments from the beloved TV series. The exhibition is in The Gateway, at 16 N. Rio Grande, north of the Olympic Legacy Fountain. Tickets are available at friendsthexperience.com/salt-lake.

Feb. 1

Hip-hop on violin

Black Violin is a hip-hop duo from Florida whose members, Kevin Sylvester and Wilner Baptiste, are classically trained violinists. They will bring “The Black Violin Experience” to the Eccles Theater, 131 S. Main, Salt Lake City, Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. Abraham Alexander is the opening act. Feb. 3

Johnny Cash in concert (sort of)

The show is called “Johnny Cash: The Official Concert Experience,” and boasts state-of-the-art projection, a live band, and onscreen narration from John Carter Cash, the son of the late country legend. The idea is to give audiences as close a re-creation of Johnny Cash in concert as is possible. The show happens Saturday, 7:30 p.m., at the Eccles Theater, 131 S. Main, Salt Lake City.
