Foo Fighters return

One of rock’s most durable bands, Foo Fighters, are on tour, and will land Tuesday at Usana Amphitheatre, 5150 Upper Ridge Road, West Valley City. It’s the Foo Fighters’ first tour since the March 2022 death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins. (John Freese, from The Vandals and Devo, has succeeded Hawkins as the band’s drummer.) The Breeders are the opening act. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and is sold out.

‘32 Sounds’ and more

In his documentary “32 Sounds,” director Sam Green and sound designer Mark Mangini examine how sound works, through 32 specific “sound explorations” that look at how sound can bend time, cross borders and change how we perceive our world. Green will screen “32 Sounds” Wednesday, 7 p.m., at the City Library’s main branch, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City — and take part in a Q&A after the movie with Doug Fabrizio from KUER’s “RadioWest.” The free screening is presented by “RadioWest” and the Utah Film Center, as part of the “Through the Lens” series.
