Highland highlights: Kilts, clans and bagpipes featured at Payson Scottish Festival

Utah County city holds annual event

The annual Payson Scottish Festival on Friday and Saturday featured Highland Games, dancing, bagpipes, vendors and entertainment at Memorial Park in the Utah County city.

The free festival takes place each July.

Saturday’s events included the Clan & Bagpipe Band Parade on Main Street.

The Highland Games featured a “featherweight” division for youngsters.

The first Highland Games in Payson were held in 1984.
