Here’s how to play The Tribune’s Utah Arts Festival scavenger hunt

Who’s up for a scavenger hunt?

With the Utah Arts Festival underway in downtown Salt Lake City, The Salt Lake Tribune is encouraging people attending the festival to explore the Artists Marketplace by way of a scavenger hunt. To sweeten the deal, we’re offering up some Tribune merchandise to 10 lucky participants.

Here’s how it works:

• If you’re going to the festival (sorry, we’re not buying your tickets — you’re on your own there), look for these 10 artworks in the booths of the Artists Marketplace. (Scroll down to see the photos.) They’re all in plain sight; no need to dig through some artist’s stack of prints.

• Take your own photo of each one. Remember to be polite to the artists in each booth.

• Send them to The Tribune by email: features@sltrib.com. Put “Scavenger Hunt” in the subject line.

• The first 10 people to send us photos of all 10 artworks will receive some Tribune merchandise.

• Once our winners have been selected, we will post the names of the artists whose works were photographed.

• Some restrictions: Employees of The Salt Lake Tribune and the Utah Arts Festival, and their immediate family members, are not eligible. Entries will be taken through Sunday, June 26, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain time — or when 10 winners have been selected, whichever comes first.

The Utah Arts Festival runs noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission is $13 online and $15 onsite; children 12 and under get in free; and there are discounts for seniors (65 and up) and members of the military, with valid ID.
