Utahns can start buying Sundance Film Festival passes on Tuesday

October — the time for pumpkins, falling leaves, Halloween, and ordering ticket packages and passes for the Sundance Film Festival.

Utah residents get the chance to purchase their 2020 Sundance Film Festival ticket packages and passes on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Everybody else starts buying theirs on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The 2020 Sundance Film Festival runs Jan. 23-Feb. 2 in Park City, and at venues in Salt Lake City and the Sundance resort.

Utahns have three purchase options:

• The Locals SLC Pass, for $500, which provides access to all Sundance screenings in Salt Lake City, with priority entrance and an official credential.

• The Locals 10 Ticket Package, for $300, which gets the buyer 10 tickets for all locations and two official credentials.

• The Utah Student 10 Ticket Package, for $150, which gets students 10 tickets to screenings in Salt Lake City and an official credential. Open only to full-time undergraduate and graduate students with a valid student ID from a college or university in Utah.

Locals buying ticket packages will select their tickets Jan. 9 and 10. Individual tickets go on sale to Utah residents on Jan. 16, for $25 each ($10 for kids’ screenings).

All festivalgoers can purchase the following:

• Express Pass (First Half), for $4,000 (Sundance Circle members only), gets access to all screenings, Jan. 23-28, with priority entrance and an official photo credential.

• Express Pass (Second Half), for $3,500, gets access to all screenings, Jan. 29-Feb. 2, with priority entrance, an official photo credential, and a ticket to the Feb. 1 awards party.

• Eccles Theatre Pass (First Half), for $3,000 (Sundance Circle members only), gets access to all screenings at the Eccles Theatre in Park City, Jan. 23-28, with priority access and one official photo credential.

• Eccles Theater Pass (Second Half), for $2,000, gets access to all screenings at the Eccles Theatre in Park City, Jan. 29-Feb. 2, with priority entrance, an official photo credential, and a ticket to the Feb. 1 awards party.

• Off-Peak Pass, for $500, gets access to all screenings before 11 a.m. and after 10 p.m., with priority entrance, an official photo credential, and a ticket to the Feb. 1 awards party.

• Grand Theatre Pass, for $300, gets access to all screenings at the Grand Theatre in Salt Lake City, with priority entrance, an official photo credential and a ticket to the Feb. 1 awards party.

• 10-Ticket Package (First Half), for $700, buys 10 tickets for screenings, Jan. 23-28, with two official credentials.

• 10-Ticket Package (Second Half), for $600, buys 10 tickets for screenings, Jan. 29-Feb. 1, with two official credentials.

• 10-Ticket Package (Salt Lake City only), for $300, buys 10 tickets for screenings in Salt Lake City, with two official credentials.

• Shorts Episodic Package, for $100, buys six tickets to Indie Episodic and Shorts Program screenings.

• Ignite Package, for $250, gets 10 tickets, five ticket vouchers (for use in eWaitlist or to be redeemed at a main box office), access to special panels with filmmakers and industry members, and an official credential. Only for attendees age 18 to 25; proof of age required.

Ticket package buyers will select their tickets from Jan. 7 to 10. Individual tickets go on sale starting Jan. 21, for $25 each ($10 for kids’ screenings).
