Jazz, country and pop fill St. Regis concert series

Courtesy | the Park City Institute Violinist Lucia Micarelli enjoys performing all styles and genres of music from classical to jazz to rock and bluegrass. She will give Park City a taste of her vast repertoire when she performs at the Eccles Center on Saturday.

The hills around Deer Valley will be echoing with swing, country, jazz, Afro-Cuban, and more music this summer — from the acts announced for the 13th annual St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights concert series.

General admission tickets start at $40, reserved seats start at $55. Early-bird tickets for the 10 shows — all at the Snow Park Amphitheater at the Deer Valley Resort — go on sale to Park City Institute members on Monday at 10 a.m., and to the general public starting April 11.

All shows starts at 7 p.m.; gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Here is the line-up of concerts in the series:

• July 3 • Squirrel Nut Zippers, the retro-hip swing band.

• July 14 • Emmylou Harris, the country-folk legend, and Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, the alt-country pioneer, co-headliners.

• July 21 • Chris Botti, jazz trumpeter, and Lucia Micarelli, genre-crossing jazz violinist, co-headliners.

• July 24 • Kip Moore, country singer.

• July 28 • Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, banjo virtuosos.

• August 7 • Mike Posner, pop-rock singer-songwriter.

• August 20 • Andy Garcia and the CineSon All Stars, Afro-Cuban band. (And, yes, it's the same Andy Garcia who starred in "The Untouchables," "The Godfather, Part III" and "Ocean's Eleven.")

• August 25 • Trace Adkins, country singer.

• August 27 • To be announced.

• September 3 • Jewel, country/folk/pop singer-songwriter.
