The hills of Deer Valley will speak of the Pompatus of Love this summer.
The Steve Miller Band, the enduring '70s pop-rock hitmakers, will bring its North American tour to Deer Valley's Snow Park Amphitheater in Park City for a show on Friday, August 19.
Miller's career began among the psychedelic sound of the San Francisco scene of the late 1960s. In the '70s, Miller created a string of polished rock hits, such as "The Joker," "Livin' in the USA," "Take the Money and Run," "Rock'n Me," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Jet Airliner," "Jungle Love," and "Abracadabra." Miller will be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month.
Tickets, ranging from $65 to $115, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at Ticketfly.
