Plans for the weekend: Merry Christmas, and a Happy Boxing Day

Ballet West's production of "The Nutcracker" finishes its holiday run, today through Sunday, at the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City. Performances are: today at noon, Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets available at ArtTix.

• The Salt Lake Film Society's annual presentation of Frank Capra's holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life!" will be shown today and Christmas evening at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City. Screenings are today at 3 p.m., or Christmas night at 7 p.m. Free.

• The Utah Jazz plays host to the Los Angeles Clippers, Saturday at Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Game starts at 7 p.m. Tickets available at Smith's Tix.

• Classical/rock hybrid Mannheim Steamroller performs its Christmas show, Saturday and Sunday at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets available at ArtTix.
