Salt Lake City ‘most festive city’ in U.S., based on Amazon’s download data

People in Salt Lake City really like their Christmas movies, according to the shopping site Amazon, which declares Utah's capital city as "the most festive city" in America.

This honor is based on the number of holiday video downloads, per capita in cities of more than 100,000 people, made on Amazon Fire TV.

Seattle came in second behind Salt Lake City. The rest of the top 10 are: Santa Clara, Calif.; Providence, R.I.; Spokane, Wash.; Everett, Wash.; Minneapolis; Alexandria, Va.; Tacoma, Wash.; and Green Bay, Wisc.

The most downloaded holiday title, Amazon reported, is "Christmas Classics, Vol. 1," a compilation of eight beloved Christmas cartoons, including "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman."

Other popular holiday downloads are "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Arthur's Perfect Christmas" and "Elf."
