Letter: Save CHIP, for kids’ sake

In a little while, millions of children and teens from families that don’t have a lot of money all over the United Stated will lose their health insurance and good health care. The U.S. Congress still needs to fund the CHIP program, and I’m afraid they may not get this done in time.

I am 12 years old and I am very worried that many of my friends may not even be able to go to the hospital if they get injured or really sick or their parents might lose everything with a big medical bill.

I want to ask everyone to please contact our senators and representatives and let them know how important it is to care for sick and injured children. It makes me sad that we have to remind grownups to take care of sick kids, but we really need to do it.
