If she does, Utah's freshman sensation would tie former Ute Suzanne Metz for one of the most elusive records in collegiate gymnastics.
In 1995, her senior year, Metz didn't have a fall in the 56 routines she performed, setting an NCAA record.
The closest anyone has come at Utah since then was last year when Annabeth Eberle went 37-for-37, then had a fall at regionals on the uneven bars. However, she sat out a couple of meets with an ankle injury, so she had no chance of breaking Metz's mark anyway.
Postell can do it if she competes in the all-around in the remaining two regular season meets: regionals and nationals. Utah would also have to make the Super Six to give her enough chances, unless she herself qualified for the individual event finals on three events.
"In 30 years, if only one person has done it, that should tell you how hard it is to do," Utah coach Greg Marsden said. "What's unusual is that she is a freshman doing it. It makes it that much more remarkable."
Postell, who scored her first 10.0 Friday, earning the perfect mark on the balance beam, said she wasn't this consistent at the elite level.
"The routines in college aren't as long, and I feel more confident with what I'm able to perform," Postell said.
Asleep at the computer
The team and individual rankings are supposed to be released every Monday morning, but weren't updated Monday. The individual in charge of the rankings was contacted by several coaches and sports information directors, but didn't respond, leaving many who depend on the rankings with unfinished releases.
Bringing it home
Auburn made a bid for the NCAAs four years ago, hoping, with its highly-touted freshman class, that it would be a prime year for the Tigers to play host to the NCAA Championships for the first time.
Things haven't worked out as they'd planned, with career-ending injuries weakening that class.
Now, Auburn appears to be a team on the verge of having to watch 12 other teams compete for the national title on its home floor, although Jeff Thompson, in his sixth year as Auburn's coach, still believes his team has enough talent to qualify.
Auburn is coming off its highest score, a 195.725 in a win over North Carolina (194.225) and Iowa (194.325).

Around the nation
Nebraska reached a new high, defeating Iowa State 197.1-196.275. . . . LSU followed up its 197.85 it earned a week ago with a 196.8 as it downed Texas Woman's (191.45). That score should be good enough to put the Tigers in first if the poll is ever released. . . . With the SEC championships on March 26, many teams are taking some time off. Georgia continues to be on the move, scoring a 197.0 to beat Michigan, which had several falls and scored just 194.875.
